From Ballet to Brush

I have been enchanted by art - and especially watercolor - since childhood. I studied commercial art in college, but my career ultimately led me to another creative passion: ballet and dance. After dancing and performing in my younger years, I became a certified ballet teacher with the Royal Academy of Dance in London, England. For the past 30 years, I have had the privilege of sharing this beautiful art form with students of all ages.
Teaching ballet has been a deeply fulfilling career, but I never lost my love for watercolor. In 2021, I felt drawn to pick up my brushes once again - and discovered how much I had missed painting.
Today, I find joy in watching watercolor pigments flow, mingle, and move across the paper. Perhaps it is no surprise that, after a life devoted to dance, I am drawn to a medium with a movement all its own. Each painting is shaped by the beauty I notice, the memories I treasure, and the emotions and experiences I hope to share through color and delicate brushwork.
